Printable coinche score sheet
Updated
A ready-to-print score sheet, as an A4 PDF: one line per deal, running totals and the scoring scale at the bottom of the page. Print it in colour or in black and white, put it on the table, and the game can begin.

Two versions, same grid: the colour version, in Coincheur's colours, with a QR code that opens Coincheur on your phone, and the black and white version, which saves ink and stays sharp when photocopied. Each fits on one A4 page and includes:
- a header: date, the two teams' names (Us and Them), the game target (1000, 1500, 2000 points or another total), and table and game numbers for a tournament;
- a grid of 20 deals: contract (bid and trump), taker, coinche ×2 or surcoinche ×4, each team's points on the deal, then the running totals;
- a brought-forward line to carry a long game over to a second sheet, plus a line for the final score and both teams' initials;
- a scoring reminder: 162 points per deal, belote, contract made or failed, coinche, capot and card values.
It's free with no sign-up: print it and photocopy it as often as you like.
Preview: the grid filled in over five deals
Here are the first five lines of a game, as you would write them on the sheet. Us is your team and Them the opponents.
| Deal | Contract (taker) | Coinche | Points Us / Them | Total Us / Them |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 80 ♠ (Us) | no | 172 / 70 | 172 / 70 |
| 2 | 100 ♥ (Them) | no | 74 / 208 | 246 / 278 |
| 3 | 110 ♦ (Us) | ×2 | 0 / 382 | 246 / 660 |
| 4 | 90 ♣ (Them) | no | 272 / 0 | 518 / 660 |
| 5 | 120 ♥ (Us) | no | 372 / 0 | 890 / 660 |
On the printed sheet, each team has its own two columns. There's nothing to copy out for the trump, the taker or the coinche: the ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ symbols, “Us Them” and “×2 ×4” are printed on every line: just circle them.
How each line is worked out
- Deal 1: we bid 80 in spades and take 92 card points, last-trick bonus included. They have 162 − 92 = 70. The contract is made, because 92 reaches 80 and beats 70: we score 92 + 80 = 172, they score 70.
- Deal 2: they bid 100 in hearts holding the belote. They take 88 card points, 108 with the belote: above both 100 and our 74 (as in Coincheur, the belote counts towards making the contract here; some tables don't count it, and the contract fails). They score 88 + 100 + 20 = 208, we score 74.
- Deal 3: we bid 110 in diamonds and they coinche. We only make 96, so the contract fails. With a coinche only the contract is doubled: they score 162 + 110 × 2 = 382, we score 0.
- Deal 4: they bid 90 in clubs, but we hold the King and Queen of clubs, so the belote is ours. They only make 70: the contract fails. We score 162 + 90 + 20 = 272, they score 0.
- Deal 5: we bid 120 in hearts and win all 8 tricks, a silent capot: 252 points instead of 162. We score 252 + 120 = 372, they score 0.
After five deals, your team leads 890 to 660. The scoring rules, case by case, are explained in how to work out a contract's score.
Check a line in two seconds
Before you carry the totals forward, add up the two “points this deal” columns. Except for a générale, the sum is always 162 + the contract (times 2 or 4 after a coinche or surcoinche), plus 20 per belote, and 252 instead of 162 when a team won every trick.
| Deal | Sum of both columns | Check |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 172 + 70 = 242 | 162 + 80 |
| 2 | 74 + 208 = 282 | 162 + 100 + 20 (belote) |
| 3 | 0 + 382 = 382 | 162 + 110 × 2 |
| 4 | 272 + 0 = 272 | 162 + 90 + 20 (belote) |
| 5 | 372 + 0 = 372 | 252 + 120 (capot) |
If the sum is off, there's a mistake in that line: fix it straight away, not at the end of the game when nobody remembers the cards any more.
Printing and using the sheet
- Printing: A4, portrait, actual size (100%). The black and white version only uses light greys: that's the one to photocopy.
- Before the first deal: write the date and both teams, and tick the target. Also agree on your table's conventions (belote, capot, No Trump and All Trump): if your table plays NT or AT, write it in the Trump column.
- One scorer per table, who reads each line out loud before the next deal.
- Long game: after 20 deals, carry both totals to the brought-forward line of a new sheet.
- In a tournament: fill in the table and game numbers, have both teams initial the final score, then hand the sheet to the scoring desk. The whole process is in the guide to organising a coinche tournament.
Paper sheet or counter on your phone?
A paper sheet has its advantages: everyone can see it, its battery never runs out, and it's the record that counts in a tournament. If you'd rather not do any sums, Coincheur's free points counter applies the same scale: you enter the contract and the taker's points, it handles belote, failed bids, coinche and capot, and keeps the total.
For the method itself (what to write down, how to avoid scoring disputes), see how to keep a coinche score sheet.

FAQ
Is the score sheet really free?
Yes. Both PDFs, colour and black and white, are free downloads with no sign-up, and you can print or photocopy them as often as you like.
How many deals does one sheet hold?
Twenty deals. If your game goes on longer, carry both totals to the brought-forward line of a second sheet and keep going.
Which scoring scale does the sheet use?
Coincheur's: 162 points per deal (152 in the cards plus 10 for the last trick), belote 20, contract made = points taken + contract, contract failed = 162 + contract to the defence, coinche ×2 and surcoinche ×4 on the contract only, bid capot at 250. Some tables score differently: agree on the scale before the first deal.
How do I record a belote or a capot?
The belote is worth 20 points and stays with the team holding the King and Queen of trumps, whether it wins or loses the deal. A silent capot counts 252 instead of 162, plus the contract. A bid capot is a 250 contract: made, it scores 502; failed, the defence scores 412.
How do I check a line is right?
Add both teams' points on the deal: except for a générale, you should get 162 plus the contract (doubled or quadrupled after a coinche or surcoinche), plus 20 per belote, with 252 instead of 162 when a team won every trick.
