The 10 de der (last-trick bonus)
The 10 de der is the 10-point bonus awarded to the team that wins the last trick of the deal.
Where do these 10 points come from?
The cards in a deal are worth 152 points in total. You add 10 “de der” points (from dernier, “last”) for winning the final trick, bringing a deal's total to 162 points.
Why it matters
Those 10 points often decide a tight contract. Keeping a master trump or a winning card for the last trick is a real skill — “keeping the der.” Forgetting it can sink a contract you thought was won.
